Hi neighbors, I’m Jackie Craig. Many know me as a volunteer, a board member, a nonprofit leader, and an education advocate. I am connected with many of our wonderful community members and I look forward to the opportunity to meet many more of my neighbors. It brings me joy to introduce my family to you. My husband is a marketer and business executive whose passion is growing businesses, developing people, and serving other businesses with products and services that enable them to succeed. Our two children are enrolled in Lakeville Area Public Schools and our nephews joined our household after their parents' lives were taken in an automobile accident in 2019. Like you, our family chose this community to raise our family and we love our community.
Our oldest will be graduating from Lakeville North High School this spring and our youngest will be heading there from Century Middle School in the fall. In addition, one of our nephews is gainfully employed after graduating from Carleton College last year and our other nephew will be graduating from University of Northwestern this fall. Our family is appreciative of opportunities we have received living in our community and recognize that when we work together we can do even better. That is why we are engaging neighbors to create a welcoming campaign centered on residents collaborating to build a safe, supported, and healthy community.
A safe, supported, and healthy community is one where people are engaged with their neighbors and where residents have access to the resources they need. For example, we met a lot of other families when we entered Lakeville Area Public Schools through Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) programming. Both the adults and children in our family benefitted from the engagement of ECFE, Small Wonders Preschool, and grade school. Both of our teenagers continue their learning journeys as they attend middle and high school, which we hope will lead to continued education and prosperous careers. It's not surprising to anyone that our schools can be leveraged to provide our community with many of the tools needed to thrive. That is why I support funding our public schools at the state level instead of deferring that responsibility inequitably to property taxes.
I am running to represent Senate District 57 at the Minnesota Legislature because I believe in the strength of our community. The strength of us. Together, we can build a safe, supported, and healthy community where people are engaged with their neighbors and where residents have access to the resources needed to support their families and continue to grow our thriving community. We invite you to join us.

Jackie Craig Announces Veterans Caucus Endorsement
LAKEVILLE MN — Jackie Craig released the following statement to announce an additional endorsement of her candidacy for the Minnesota Senate in the newly formed Senate District 57.
“I am proud to share that the DFL Veterans Caucus has endorsed my campaign to represent the residents of Senate District 57 at the Minnesota Legislature. I appreciate their thoughtful consideration of the shared values we fight for and look forward to representing their members at the Minnesota Senate.”
From the DFL Veterans Caucus, “As the daughter and granddaughter of service members as well as close friend to a female veteran, we believe you will advocate for our issues at the capitol. You shared your personal experience growing up with a parent who had PTSD from military service, how that affected you, and your desire to ensure children in military families have the support they need. We agree that trauma informed mental health care is necessary to prevent veterans from experiencing a crisis serious enough to put them at risk of death by suicide. This is one of our biggest concerns, and we need everyone’s help to address it.”

Jackie Issue SCOTUS Statement
Like many Minnesotans, I am outraged and saddened that the Supreme Court officially overturned Roe v. Wade’s 50-year precedent. This is a devastating and extreme position against privacy and reproductive autonomy. When you elect me, I will do everything in my power to preserve our right to privacy and the freedom to make our own health care decisions.
